  • Hurricane season preparedness. - If the National Weather Service issues a hurricane warning for your county, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida will waive any time restriction on your prescription to ensure you have a good supply of necessary medications, in case of an evacuation. And physicians, hospitals, and other providers will accept your valid member ID card and photo ID if you need medical attention during or after a hurricane.
  • Did you know about 40,500 women will die from breast cancer this year1? - Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the United States and just because you don't have breast cancer in your family, doesn't mean you won't get it. The American Cancer Society reports that nearly 70-80% of breast cancers occur in women who do NOT have a history of breast cancer in the family.
